Bryce also has an unusually long tongue, as demonstrated here. When he was little he used it to wipe his nose... so gross.
And at long last, Bryce has finally lost his first tooth. I realize this isn't as excited for all of you and it was for us, but to be 7 years old and to not have lost a tooth can be quite concerning to said 7 year old. EVERYONE else in his class has lost teeth. Imagine the joy at waking up the morning we were driving home from Texas to discover a loose tooth. He was so excited... until lunch time when it hurt to eat and then the enthusiasm wavered. Then he made the colossal mistake of letting his father wiggle it that night - only to be to have it pulled out unexpectedly. 
The Tooth Fairy and her husband couldn't agree on how much to leave under his pillow. What does your tooth fairy leave???

Start out small because there is no going back. We give a dollar and a pack of gum. I've heard of some people giving $5, but we are totally in the wrong tax bracket for that.
But very cool that he lost his tooth. Trevor feels his pain because he is the only kid in his class that hasn't lost one either.
Our tooth fairy started with a dollar and a pack of sugar free gum, but quickly had a disappointed little boy who thought he was going to get a toy. Ya I know...where the heck did he get that idea??? So, said tooth fairy has now brought a little action figure type toy and a dollar. I think it has only lasted this long b/c the tooth fairy has had little things on hand. Next tooth lost is getting a note that now he is 6 he is back to money and gum!

We give a different amount each time. This way the girls never know what to expect. The smallest we've given is $.50 and the most is $3.00. We did give the two older girls a toy (Barbie) when they lost their first tooth. Originally we started that with Olivia because she had to have her first tooth pulled when she had her tonsils out. When Madi's first tooth was loose, she caught wind of the present thing and it just stuck.
When the toothfairy actually remembers (sad, uh?) we leave a dollar. Most mornings the kids come out and say, "the toothfairy didn't come" and then we go in there to look with a dollar bill hidden and pretend like they didn't see it or it fell on the floor. Bad toothfairy. She/he should be fired!
hahaha bryce totally has neeley genes. Slowest tooth losers ever. And longest tongues ever.
His tongue is amazingly long! And my 6 year old boy has yet to have a lose tooth so this will make him feel better; I know what you were going through with his worried feelings. Our tooth fairy should be fired too because sometimes they forget but they always bring $1.
